Coronavirus have you stuck at home? What can you do?

These are loaded questions. The possibilities are endless and it doesn’t matter if you’re tech savvy or not.

Start a business

If you have an idea, you can start a business. This is not to say that all businesses are successful, but a business never started will never be successful. There are a few things you’ll want to do first such as research your idea. How many others are doing the same thing? Are you first to market (Coca-cola)? Second to market (Pepsi)? Is your business name available? Is there a domain name available suitable for your business?

Is E-commerce the answer?

It definitely could be. Does your business idea involve selling something? E-commerce used to mean one thing, but these days it can be accomplished in so so many ways. A custom website created for your business provides you with the most control. If you don’t need control and you just want to make money, you can use eBay, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplace, or Amazon just to name a few. We can consult you to help you flesh out your idea OR build out your complete solution.

Will you be providing a service?

Welcome to the club. Fortunately, a web solution for a service provider can be tons easier to create and definitely easier on the pocket book. It can be as simple as a single page site with a contact form and as feature full as you’d like it to be. If startup capital is a concern, I’d recommend keeping it simple to start.

Maintenance

Many people believe you create a site once and it just sits there, but that shouldn’t be the case any longer. You’ll want your site to be active. You’ll want to add content weekly, if not more frequently. By all means, you should NOT have a site that hasn’t been touched in years. Google definitely shows favoritism towards active sites. If you need someone to create and update content for you, that is a service we provide.

Redesign

Very few sites are made to last for years and years. If you’re not updating the look and feel of your website every 3-4 years, you’re running behind. Web trends change every two years or so and it is easy to spot a site that was trending, but is no longer doing so. Make sure you budget for this fact when you’re thinking of your business years out. Cranson Solutions would gladly handle your redesigns.

So what does all of this have to do with COVID-19?

Most of the world is under strict- or self-quarantine and is essentially stuck in the house. They’re ordering food, ordering supplies, ordering services. They’re streaming movies and television shows. The entire world is using the Internet to get things done like they never have before. If you’re stuck at home and perhaps your work situation isn’t what you’d like it to be, you could be brainstorming your business idea. You can make the change. We can help you. When everyone is released from quarantine, they’re likely to continue using the Internet more so than before. We can help you take advantage of that.

Let’s discuss what you have in mind.
